The C.A.R.E. Program
The C.A.R.E. Program stands for Caregiver Assessment and Reflection Exercises. The idea behind this
4-part program is to help you identify within your current caregiving situation: what you're doing, what's working well, and what could be improved. The goal is to provide you with an action plan for a better caregiving experience that promotes the well-being of the caregiver and those you care for.
The 4-part program addresses four themes of caregiving which relate to most caregiving challenges.
They are:
- Awareness of your role
- Level of confidence in finding help and resources
- Keeping connected with your personal state
of well-being
- Engagement of family and community
